Mooring ropes at sunrise on The Gannel River, Newquay Cornwall.
I captured this photo at sunrise on the River Gannel on an early September morning. I arrived early in the morning as the light was just appearing in the sky and waiting for nature to do its thing. As the sun came up, the clouds turned a range of pastel shades against a blue background creating a truly colourful scene. This was made even better by the reflection in the incoming tide of the River Gannel. I found a mooring boy attached to a boat with mooring ropes covered with seaweed as the focal point of the image.
