South Fistral Sunset Splash square greetings card.
I captured this photo at South Fistral Beach Newquay, Cornwall on an August evening. On this evening there was a very high tide and I was able to stand at the bottom of the steps leading to South Fistral Beach, where the waves were splashing (though not too close to the sea!) There was a haze in the air which created a beautiful pastel tone to the sky and the sun shone red as it disappeared below the horizon. I love this picture as it created a contrast between the calm pastel hues of the sunset and the wave splash of the sea as it hit the rocks in front of me.
